Juggernaut will change the way you look at South Indian restaurants

I have often heard from people that South Indian restaurants are noisy and crammed. If that is your perception too, you must visit Juggernaut in Kailash Colony. Situated on two floors in the noisy street of Kailash Colony market, Juggernaut has a separate waiting area too! Yes, you heard that right, a waiting area where you can stand or sit during busy hours, which is surely the case if you visit on a weekend.

Juggernaut comes from Jagganath ‘Lord of the universe’, a deity worshipped in Hinduism and Buddhism. The ambience here at Juggernaut is peaceful and calm. You can relax and unwind yourself while admiring the beautiful paintings done on the walls. Even the tables and the pillars are hand painted. I was awed by the beautiful work done on bricks and placed on the walls in an intricate manner. The view outside is pure and natural. Hustling bustling trees will make your environment even purer. Juggernaut is very soon planning to have on board Veena players to mesmerise you with the magic of beautiful chords.

The way in which the staff members greet is again commendable. Taking forward our culture, they fold their hands in Namaste and with so much warmth that you will be ashamed to greet in any other way or any other language. They are setting a true example of how Indian culture should be taken forward and respected.

The service is quick and staff members are polite and patient. The food is beyond awesome. You start drooling by the aroma of the dishes even before the waiter arrives at your table. We loved the Masala Dosa, Mysore Paneer Dosa and Onion Utthapam. I look forward to eating Podi Idli on my next visit. The Dosas were as soft and as crisp as they should have been. The stuffing was perfect. The Onion Utthapam tasted rich and was more than enough for one person’s meal. Sambhar was delicious and never enough to the contentment of your taste buds. The coffee was yummy- not too strong and not too light. I was surprised to look at the price list. Not many restaurants give you a rich dining experience along with sumptuous food at such cheap prices!

Recommendations: I don’t think any dish can go wrong. Every dish is worth a try. I would recommend that you go and enjoy the entire experience!
